  1. Golf carts come in a wide range of formats and are more generally used to convey small numbers of passengers short distances at speeds less than 15 mph (24 km/h) per ANSI Standard z130.1 as originally manufactured. They are generally around 4 feet (1.2 m) wide × 8 feet (2.4 m) long × 6 feet (1.8 m) high and weigh 900 pounds (410 kg) to 1,000 pounds (450 kg). Most are powered by 4-stroke engines.

  2. I am buying my first golf cart in the next few weeks and plan to install a 5 or 6 inch spindle lift kit mid summer. But I do need to finish my trailer now before I buy a cart. My question is how wide I might expect a cart would be out to out of wheels. My trailer can support 50 inches now but if I need it to be wider I want to do it before I weld a rail around the front and sides. I plan on buying an ezgo 96 or newer. If someone could measure their cart for me I would appreciate it greatly.

  3. If your adding lift with wider tires down the road You might want to give your self an extra few inches and take it out to say 60″ wide.
